I just took the Webbie with me to shoot interviews on the glide at a convention I went to. It was so simple to use and the videos in SD mode were excellent. Audio was surprisingly excellent too! I would go back to the newsroom each day, connect to the web via usb and upload to tubemogul.

On the HD side the videos I show of my son in the backyard were brilliant. All this and it fits in my pocket like a huge pack of gum. Oh and the swivel head is a fantastic feature too.

Other plus's for me were the long battery life and the skill to use the Pro Duo cards. 16GB in mine.

I recommend this for anyone who wants to shoot video on the glide!

I Bought A PURPLE WEBBIE FOR MYSELF TO SHOOT Small VIDEOS OF MY GRANDSON. I Like THE SIZE AND THE FACT YOU CAN TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO WITH THE SONY. MY DAUGHTER LOVED IT AFTER I SHOWED HER THAT SONY'S SOFTWARE MADE IT POSSIBLE TO EMAIL MY VIDEOS WHICH I COULD NOT DO WITH MY FUIJI CAMERA. I GAVE THE PURPLE SONY WEBBIE TO MY DAUGHTER AND Prearranged AN ORANGE ONE FOR ME! (Buy the case also on Amazon you will like it matches perfectly and protects Webbie in your purse.)

I bought this so that I could share video of my baby son with family via the internet. As an Apple person, I chose the Webbie since it was well-matched. What I did not know was how simple it would be. All I have to do is plug it in my pad and it pretty much takes care of itself. My only negative is that the menu on the camera, to delete photos and such is not simple to steer. But otherwise, this is a fantastic camera, small, light, takes fantastic photos and movies that turn into home movies easily. I even carry it in an ancient cell phone holder I had and wear it on my hip for simple access!
its all about best resolution (better that most top consumer camcorders)

if you looking a indoor camcorder, forget this camcorder ,
but if you have a lot of sunnys days and want a super high resolution cam. camcorder info site has the resolution at (700 lw/ph horizontal, 800 lw/ph vertical) close to the canon hf 20
quote}
The Canon HF20 has the best video resolution we've ever recorded on a consumer camcorder
and its scores are comparable to some of the professional models we've tested (like the Sony HDR-FX1000 and Canon XL H1A). The camcorder measured an approximate video resolution of 800 line widths per depiction height (lw/ph) horizontal and 900 lw/ph vertical. This is a huge bump up from the 675 lw/ph horizontal and 600 lw/ph vertical recorded by last year's Canon HF11.
how? they belive this camcorder has a larger camera sensor
but ,that all,
this is cheap 180.00 camcorder ,that has the sharpest noise free(daylight) 720x1080 h.d. which does nature and ocean the toughest to capture with so much detail (leaves ,grass, etc)
I have been though a lot of camera and h.d. camcorder/and returns .
this has the sharpest and rich fullness even on leaves Ive seen.
but again, the cam has to pan slowly and in sunlight,
I can live with that ,if it breaks I just buy another one.
I also got the webbie with the swivel head
and it also is just what I was looking for all of the last year,
thanks sony IAm very active recording again.

The Sony webbie is exact simple portability.I keep it in my purse or pocket and can take videos within seconds. No culture curve. Movies are really excellent for the price and size. I shoot in HD and this webbie rivals my pricey Canon HD camcorder. I can promptly place the movies on the web and send to friends in less the 5 summary. It also takes still pictures but they are not as excellent as the video. If you want a camcorder you can toss in your purse or pocket and also impress people with its feature output - this is it.
